Something of me and of my world

Please Don’t hit me

pppIt’s all started when I was 7 years old, I still remember the details of that incident as if it happened yesterday, back in the elementary school square we were happy at the end of another long day … playing and running after each other … waiting for our parent to come and take us home, there were “Ahmed” trying to wear his bag very fast so the supervisor of the orphans center “who was staring at him with Frown look on his face” don’t get angry, and since Ahmed was holding in his hand a small piece of ice-cream that was about to fall from his hand while he was trying to carry his heavy bag .. he asked the supervisor with a shy voice “could you sir hold the ice-cream for me just while I take the bag?” … and it was like a Satan unleashed from his cage, and the supervisor attacked the boy and start hitting (Ahmad) with a long Stick he was holding in his hand and yelling on him “do you think I am working for you, you son of bitch!!” Ahmad start apologizing and bagging the supervisor to stop hitting him, I remember I was standing there frozen and checked with what I see, for a moment he looked at me, I swear he was telling please help me … that scene has engraved in my memory for ever … as the first ugly face of the human Injustice that witnessed by the little boy I was back then.

That day I return sad to home and forgiven Ahamd and all other orphans who were living in the social care center and studying with us, forgive what they did to me and understand finally why was my father refuse to provide any complaint when I was return crying from school because they hit me or take my money or anything of my small things, my dad keep saying they don’t enjoy the family love and care and its normal for them to behave like that, of course at that time I couldn’t understand what does my father talking about and thought he just doesn’t care about me ! .. After this incident I did …

This incident stayed inside me for a long years and I was always trying to avoid talking or writing about it, because its bring to me a bad memory from side and from other side its make me so angry of myself, that day I was there and didn’t do anything.. I didn’t go and tell the rest of teachers or my parents, I even didn’t go to ask Ahmad about how he is doing after that … like everybody I just stood there … watching , if it’s because I was a little boy back then , so what the excuse of the others ?, what happened that day wasn’t a single and isolated accident, it was fixed pattern of horrible treatment that was practiced by all social worker and supervisor in the orphans care center, supported by the common culture that said they are just a sort of foundling children with unknown belongs who comes as a result of a prohibited relation, although the school teachers were not agreed with what was happening but they did nothing even other student parents were knowing what was happening there, and it was a clear from their bad performance in school that they do suffer emotionally from such un humanly treatment, that sadness and anger was exploding from those kids as a hostility and problems in their behavior .. Everybody known … but nobody did anything!

After 21 years from that incident I watched a movie for a supervisor in one of the orphan’s children center hitting a small little girl with a long stick for nothing just because she stood in the main door watching people walking on the street..! More than 21 years separate between the old incident and the one of this girl … the faces has changed … but the treatment is the same, unjustified hitting for a small baby that doesn’t have family or anybody to help her, thanks god there is a lot of phones with camera this days that could transfers such scenes for us to see a day life of an orphan girl in our great country.

This time I decided that I shouldn’t keep watching, I am not that powerless small boy any more, this is not an excuse any more… never been

So I am asking you and with you … what will happen if your kids one day needs to live there, would you rest in peace, who is hiring those people, why our government doesn’t act boldly against this, what happened with those kids is a crime, no child in the world deserve such treatment, those is our kids, what the value of our achievement in life if we failed even to protect our babies
